Aims and Scope

International Journal of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (ISSN: 2994-6743) is dedicated to advancing our understanding of STD-related infections through high-quality, peer-reviewed, open access research. Our journal serves as a global forum for clinicians, researchers, public health professionals, and policymakers to share innovative findings and foster multidisciplinary collaboration in the field of sexually transmitted infections. We welcome manuscripts that explore both the biological underpinnings and the clinical, social, and public health aspects of these infections.

Our Scope Includes:

  • Studies on the molecular, genetic, and immunologic mechanisms underlying STD-related infections (e.g., HIV/AIDS, HPV, hepatitis, syphilis, gonorrhea, and others).
  • Population-level investigations, surveillance data, and trends that inform prevention and control strategies.
  • Development and evaluation of novel diagnostic tools, biomarkers, and imaging techniques for early detection and accurate diagnosis.
  • IJSTD welcomes innovative studies that leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for enhanced diagnostic accuracy, predictive modeling, and personalized treatment strategies, thereby driving improvements in public health outcomes.
  • Clinical trials and research focused on optimizing treatment regimens, managing drug resistance, and improving patient outcomes.
  • Research on pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions aimed at treating and preventing sexually transmitted infections.
  • Vaccine development, prophylactic measures, and innovative therapeutic strategies to reduce disease transmission and morbidity.
  • Studies examining the social, economic, and behavioral factors influencing STD transmission and patient care.
  • Evaluation of public health policies, community-based interventions, and health education programs designed to mitigate the spread of STDs.
  • Contributions that integrate insights from immunology, microbiology, epidemiology, behavioral science, and health informatics.
  • Exploration of novel technologies-including digital health, artificial intelligence, and data analytics-to enhance STD management and research.
