Journal of Verbal Behavior (JVB) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research in psychology and related disciplines. ​Submission and Review Process :

JVB invites submissions from researchers, academics, and practitioners. Manuscripts should adhere to the journal’s author guidelines and include an abstract. All submissions undergo a thorough peer-review process to ensure the highest academic standards.  

1. Manuscript Preparation: Manuscripts should be prepared according to the guidelines. The manuscript should include a title page, abstract, main text, references, tables, and figures as applicable.

2. Submission Process: Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the journal's online submission system. Authors will be required to create an account on the Manuscript Zone submission system to upload their manuscript and any accompanying files.

3. Peer Review: All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and validity of the research. Authors can suggest potential peer reviewers, but the final selection will be at the discretion of the editorial board.

4. Ethical Guidelines: Authors are expected to adhere to ethical standards in research and publishing, including proper citation of sources and avoidance of plagiarism. Any potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed upon submission.

5. Publication Decisions: The editorial board will make decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of the submitted manuscripts based on the peer review reports and the manuscript's quality and contribution to the field.

6. Open Access: The Journal of Verbal Behavior offers open access options for authors who wish to make their research freely available to the public.
 

​Article Processing Charge:

As an open-access journal, JVB ensures global accessibility to published research. To support the publication process, authors are required to pay an article processing charge (APC), which covers editorial, peer review, and digital archiving costs.
