The journal is open access: there is no charge to read an article, and publication is funded by a charge to the author’s institution or funder after a manuscript has been accepted.
When it is payable
Nothing is charged to submit a manuscript or to have it reviewed. An invoice is issued only after editorial acceptance.

Where student status is confirmed by the editorial office before acceptance.
What the charge covers
What it funds
Editorial handling, peer-review coordination, similarity screening, copy-editing, typesetting into the published formats, and the hosting and preservation of the article afterwards.
What it does not affect
The charge is separate from the editorial assessment. Those decisions remain independent of fees, services, memberships, and roles.
Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
Documentation
The editorial office issues invoices and payment confirmations that can be used for institutional or funder reporting.
Questions about cost
Authors whose funding situation makes the charge difficult are invited to write to the editorial office before submitting, so that the question is settled early.
Withdrawal
A manuscript may be withdrawn at any point before publication. The terms below are the publisher’s and apply to every journal it publishes.
These terms concern the manuscript, not the editorial assessment; withdrawing a manuscript has no bearing on how a future submission is read.
- Contact the office
- Authors should contact the editorial office promptly and wait for written confirmation before submitting the work elsewhere.
- Early withdrawal
- Manuscripts withdrawn within 3 days of submission are not subject to a withdrawal charge.
- Later withdrawal
- Manuscripts withdrawn more than 3 days after submission incur a withdrawal charge equal to 30% of the journal's APC.
- Before submitting elsewhere
- Authors must receive official withdrawal confirmation before submitting the manuscript to another journal.
