Membership is an optional relationship with the publisher, Open Access Pub. It supports open-access publishing and is entirely separate from the editorial assessment of a manuscript.
The boundary
Membership confers no advantage in the review or acceptance of a member’s own manuscripts, and no member’s submission is handled differently because of it.

What membership is, and what it is not
Membership is a way for researchers and institutions to support the journal’s open-access publishing and to keep in contact with its editorial activity.
It is not a route into the journal. Peer review, the criteria editors apply and the decision that follows are the same for every manuscript, and the editorial office does not see membership status when a manuscript is assessed.
Authors considering membership are welcome to write to the editorial office for the current terms before committing to one.
- Review model
- Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request.
- Decisions
- Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
- Independence
- Those decisions remain independent of fees, services, memberships, and roles.
- Article processing charge
- USD 1,200 per accepted article, invoiced after acceptance.
