Membership is an optional publisher program. It reduces what a member pays toward an article processing charge and connects members to the journal’s community of readers and authors.
It is a billing and community relationship. It is not a route into the editorial process.

The editorial boundary
What membership does not change
Member submissions are screened, reviewed and decided exactly as every other submission is. Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal. Decisions remain independent of fees, services, memberships, and editorial or reviewer roles.
Membership confers no advantage in the review or acceptance of a member’s own manuscripts, no change to review sequence or timing, and no claim on an editorial or reviewer role.
Joining
How an application is handled
Write to [email protected] with your professional credentials, institutional affiliation, research area and the tier you want. Applications are reviewed within five business days and activation details follow approval.
Researchers in low- and middle-income countries may ask about a reduced membership rate; requests are considered individually by the membership office.
