Membership Terms & Conditions
Membership Details
- Duration: All memberships are valid for 12 months from activation date
- Renewal: Automatic renewal with 30-day advance notice and opt-out option
- Transferability: Institutional memberships can be transferred between departments
- Cancellation: 30-day notice required for membership cancellation
- Refund Policy: Full refunds available if membership is cancelled within the first 30 days with no services used. After 30 days or upon service usage, memberships are non-refundable.
- Benefits Activation: All benefits active within 24 hours of payment confirmation
Onboarding benefits: New members joining in their first year receive an additional 10% discount on their first article processing charge, stackable with membership discounts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does membership guarantee manuscript acceptance?
No. All manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review regardless of membership status. Acceptance is based solely on scientific merit and quality.
How do I apply my membership discount?
APCs are invoiced only after acceptance. If your paper is accepted, the relevant membership reduction is applied at invoice. Membership does not affect peer review or acceptance.
Can I upgrade my membership during the year?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time by paying the difference. Your new benefits will be activated immediately.
What happens if I exceed my manuscript limit?
Additional manuscripts beyond your tier limit will receive the standard non-member APC rate. Consider upgrading for continued benefits.
Is the refund policy pro-rated?
Full refunds are available only within the first 30 days if no membership services have been used. After this period or upon service usage, memberships are non-refundable as stated in our terms.
How does institutional membership work for multiple authors?
Institutional membership covers submissions by affiliated authors. Editorial assessment is identical for members and non-members, and APC discounts apply only after acceptance. Use your institutional email at submission.
