Before you send
What to have ready
- Scope. Confirm the therapeutic-science question is central to the work — see the Aims and Scope.
- Article type. Choose one of the four accepted types — Research Article, Review Article, Methods Article or Case Report. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses are submitted as Review Articles.
- Manuscript preparation. Follow the Instructions for Authors.
- Declarations. Conflicts of interest, funding, ethics approvals and, for empirical research, a data-availability statement.
- Double-blind review. If you are requesting it, prepare the reviewer manuscript accordingly.

After you send
What happens next
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review.
Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
