Applied Psychology

Overview

Applied psychology is the field of psychology that focuses on using psychological theories and research to study, explain and solve practical problems. Applied psychology has a variety of applications, such as aiding in design and development of business strategies, improving education, providing health care solutions and creating effective public policies. Applied psychology can also be applied to industries like criminal justice, engineering, education, marketing, business and consulting. Through the study and application of psychological principles, applied psychologists can help to develop effective solutions to personal and societal challenges.
