Overview

Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by the production of antiphospholipid antibodies. These antibodies attack phospholipids, important components of cell membranes. APS leads to an increased risk of blood clotting, which can cause heart attack and stroke. It can also cause other problems such as miscarriages, infertility, and cognitive impairment. Proper diagnosis and treatment of APS is critical to ensure a positive health outcome. Early treatment and lifestyle modifications can reduce the chances of complications occurring.
