Biography
Zhencheng Xing is affiliated with Hainan University, PR China, where his research focuses on environmental economics, carbon emission performance, and eco-efficiency evaluation. His most influential work, "Expansion of environmental impact assessment for eco-efficiency evaluation of China's economic sectors: An economic input-output based frontier approach" (2018), has been cited 82 times and exemplifies his application of frontier methodologies to assess environmental impacts across economic sectors. With over 18 indexed publications, Xing has contributed extensively to the analysis of CO2 emissions, abatement potential, and total-factor ecological efficiency, particularly examining China's emission trading schemes and regional economic zones such as the Yangtze River Economic Belt. His research employs advanced econometric techniques, including meta-frontier analysis and directional distance functions, to evaluate sectoral and spatial-temporal variations in environmental performance.
