Biography
Adnan Ayhanci is affiliated with Eskişehir Osmangazi University, where his research focuses on the protective and therapeutic effects of natural compounds and antioxidants against drug-induced organ toxicity. His work extensively investigates the cytoprotective roles of substances such as carvacrol, ellagic acid, selenium, and silymarin in mitigating oxidative stress and tissue damage in various organ systems, including the liver, kidney, heart, and reproductive system, primarily in experimental animal models. His most-cited publication, "Siklofosfamid Nedenli Hematoksisite Üzerine Karvakrolün Sitoprotektif Etkileri" (2018), examines the cytoprotective effects of carvacrol on cyclophosphamide-induced hematotoxicity. With over 14 indexed publications, Ayhanci's contributions advance understanding of pharmacological interventions to reduce chemotherapy-related toxicity and promote organ protection through natural bioactive agents.
