Biography
Eman Refaat Youness is affiliated with the National Research Centre, Giza, Egypt, where she serves in the Department of Medical Biochemistry. She completed her M.Sc. in Medical Biochemistry from Cairo University in 1993, with a thesis on salivary caffeine as an indicator for liver function, and earned her M.D. in Medical Biochemistry from Cairo University in 2009, focusing on the protective role of antioxidants in breast cancer. Her research encompasses antioxidants, DNA damage, cancer, and diabetes, with her most-cited publication being "Neuroprotective Effects of Low Dose Anandamide in Pentylenetetrazole-Induced Kindling in Rats" (2019). She has authored over 17 indexed publications in her field.
