Biography
Shailendra Dwivedi, MSc, BSc, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States. He completed his education at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, and was supported by Junior and Senior Research Fellowships from CSIR, New Delhi, India (2007–2012). His research focuses on cancer biology, particularly the role of BMI-1 in ovarian and other cancers, chemoresistance mechanisms, mitochondrial function, and therapeutic interventions including microRNAs and novel inhibitors. His most-cited work, "Bmi-1: At the crossroads of physiological and pathological biology" (2015), has received 112 citations, and he was awarded the Bruce Patsner Grant Award for Innovative Research & Technology from the Foundation for Women's Cancer (2017–2018).
