Biography
Dr. Lilian Giannasi is affiliated with the Health Sciences Graduate Program in Brazil, where her research focuses on sleep disorders and their intersection with dentistry and special populations. She holds a degree in Dentistry with specialization in Orthodontics, and completed her MSc and PhD in Sleep Disorders, followed by postdoctoral work examining sleep in individuals with cerebral palsy. Her most-cited publication, "Evaluation of the masticatory muscle function, physiological sleep variables, and salivary parameters after electromechanical therapeutic approaches in adult patients with Down syndrome: a randomized controlled clinical trial" (2019), exemplifies her commitment to developing evidence-based therapeutic interventions for vulnerable patient populations. Her work bridges clinical dentistry, sleep medicine, and rehabilitation science to improve quality of life for individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions.
