Agricultural Entomology

Agricultural entomology is the study of insects and theirrelation to crops and other agricultural processes. It covers a variety of topics such as pest control, crop protection, IPM, and integrated pest management. Agricultural entomology plays an important role in the production of food crops, as well as the quality control of food products. By studying the interactions between insects and agricultural crops, researchers can develop strategies for reducing damage caused by pests, improving yields, and protecting the environment. Additionally, research in entomology has led to the development of pest management practices which aim to reduce the need for chemical pesticides while ensuring the safety of food crops.
