Agricultural Chemistry

Agricultural Chemistry is an interdisciplinary field of science which focuses on the study of chemical compounds and processes in crop production, animal husbandry and soil management. The knowledge gained from Agricultural Chemistry is essential in the development of environmentally sustainable agricultural practices and the enhancement of soil fertility. Through the application of various chemical techniques and analysis, it is possible to increase crop yields and animal productivity. Agricultural Chemistry also contributes to improved animal health and welfare, increased food safety and quality, as well as providing insights into the nutritive value of food for human consumption. All of these aspects are of tremendous importance for food security and the future of sustainable agriculture.
