Communication in hospice and palliative care, end of life care, symptom management and psychosocial care.

Biography:

  • I have a social science PhD which focused on communication in hospice multidisciplinary teams.  
  • I am currently a Senior Lecturer in cancer and palliative care at the University of Surrey in the UK.  
  • My current research concerns the impact of advanced cancer on families and family carers; health professionals communication when breaking  bad news and information giving communication strategies.
