Biography
Dr. Ali Riza Cenk Celebi graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 2005 and completed his ophthalmology residency there in 2010, during which he served as a visiting fellow at the University of Louisville Kentucky Lions Eye Center and passed International Council of Ophthalmology examinations. After fulfilling obligatory service at Nigde State Hospital (2010–2013), he became an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Acibadem University School of Medicine in 2014. He is currently affiliated with Istanbul Health and Technology University, where his research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology, particularly in detecting age-related macular degeneration using optical coherence tomography. His most-cited work, published in 2022, addresses AI-based detection methods with unique image preprocessing techniques, and he has authored over 11 indexed publications in the field.
