Membership
Membership is an arrangement about cost. It is not an arrangement about editorial outcome.
Open Access Pub offers memberships to individuals, students, institutions and organizations that publish regularly. This page sets out the terms the publisher currently states for the Journal of Model Based Research.
What it is
What a membership covers
A membership is paid in advance and runs for a fixed term. In return it carries publishing-charge arrangements for accepted manuscripts, along with notice of calls for papers and issue updates.
Membership is optional. Authors publish in this journal on identical terms whether or not they hold one, and a manuscript from a member is handled exactly as any other.

Before you buy
The allowance that applies to a particular manuscript, the manuscript types it covers and any balance remaining after it is applied are confirmed in writing by the publisher's billing office. Authors and institutions are encouraged to obtain that confirmation at [email protected] before purchasing, so that the arrangement is settled in advance.
Independence
Where the separation holds
The separation between a membership and an editorial decision is absolute, and it is worth stating plainly.
Evaluation
Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal. A membership is not among them.
Membership reduces costs but does not alter peer review outcomes.
Handling
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review.
Editors and reviewers
Serving as an editor or reviewer for the journal confers no advantage in the review or acceptance of that person's own manuscripts.
