IJGH considers population-level research in epidemiology, disease surveillance, infectious-disease control, population health, and health systems and policy.
Submit a manuscriptA population-level question is essential
The manuscript's central question, analysis and conclusions must concern a population, community, public-health programme or health system. Individual diagnosis, treatment or clinical management is outside scope unless the work's principal inference is explicitly population-level.
Research priorities
Epidemiological methods and disease surveillance
Population health and risk factors
Infectious-disease epidemiology
Health systems, services and policy
Conditional areas
Non-communicable disease, maternal and child health, digital epidemiology, environmental and climate health, migration and displacement, genomic epidemiology, One Health, planetary health and AI-supported disease prediction are considered when a defined population-health or health-system question is central.
