Biography:

  • Pouya Hassandarvish completed his PhD study in field of Medical Microbiology sponsor by University of Malaya Bright Spark scholarship.
  • He is working in Antiviral drug discovery lab and he has worked with arthropod viruses such as dengue, chikungunya, Japanese encephalitis and zika. He has contributed to a lot of researches and attended several international conferences.
  • Pouya has involved in training undergraduate students and some postgraduate students.
  • Pouya did his master study in University of Malaya in field of Bacteriology and Immunology.
  • During his master study he exposed himself to a lot of experiments and he learnt a lot of good skills such as Immunology, histology, biochemistry tests, animal experiment, cell culture, antibacterial and cloning.
  • During his master study he handled a lot of projects such as diabetic, wound healing, stomach ulcer, cancer study in vivo and in vitro (colon cancer, Leukaemia and breast cancer) and liver cirrhosis.
  • He finished his bachelor degree in Azad University (Iran) in field of Marine Biology and he involved in a diabetic research project during his bachelor study.
  • Pouya has worked as a research assistant in University of Malaya about 5 years.
