No active call is currently verified
IJGH has no active Special Issue call in its current journal record. This page will list a call only after its topic, named Guest Editor, affiliation, ORCID, scope and dates have been approved and verified.
A general manuscript that fits IJGH should be submitted through the regular submission pathway rather than described as a Special Issue submission.
What a Special Issue is
A Special Issue brings together research around a defined population-health, epidemiological, disease-surveillance or health-systems question. It does not create a separate journal, a different evidence standard or an expedited editorial route.

Proposal requirements
- A concise title and rationale for the proposed population-level question
- A defined scope, exclusions and relationship to the journal’s four core domains
- Named proposed Guest Editor with current affiliation, ORCID and relevant publications
- Disclosure of financial, professional and personal interests
- A realistic proposed schedule without promises of accelerated review
- A plan for reaching an appropriate scholarly community without guaranteed submissions
- Confirmation that no fee, sponsorship, role or service will influence review or acceptance
Send an initial expression of interest to [email protected]. An expression of interest does not create a call or appointment.

For prospective authors
Only use the Special Issue designation when a call is listed as active on this page. Review the call’s exact scope, then follow the standard Instructions for Authors and Editorial Policies. Submission to a collection does not guarantee external review or acceptance.
Submit regular IJGH research
With no active Special Issue call, suitable manuscripts should use the journal’s standard submission route.
