Call for Papers
Journal of Journal of Aging Research And Healthcare invites original, well designed research and scholarly reviews that advance aging research and healthcare practice.
The Journal of Journal of Aging Research And Healthcare is a peer reviewed, open access journal focused on aging across clinical, community, and health system settings. We welcome research that improves health outcomes for older adults, supports caregivers, and informs policy or service delivery.
Submissions should be methodologically rigorous, clearly reported, and relevant to aging research or healthcare practice. We value interdisciplinary work that connects biology, medicine, public health, rehabilitation, nursing, and social care.
Our goal is to publish evidence that can be translated into practice, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and long term support for aging populations.

We welcome submissions across the spectrum of aging research and healthcare, including:
- Geriatric syndromes, frailty, falls, and mobility
- Chronic disease management and multimorbidity in older adults
- Cognitive decline, dementia care, and mental health
- Rehabilitation, functional recovery, and assistive technologies
- Health promotion, nutrition, and physical activity in later life
- Caregiver support, family systems, and social determinants of health
- Health services research, care coordination, and quality improvement
- Palliative care, end of life care, and advance care planning
- Digital health, telehealth, and remote monitoring for older adults
- Policy and program evaluation for aging populations
We encourage submissions that address health equity, cultural contexts, and real world care settings. Studies that integrate patient reported outcomes, caregiver experiences, or implementation challenges are particularly valued.
Journal of Journal of Aging Research And Healthcare welcomes research from community programs, primary care, hospitals, rehabilitation services, nursing homes, and home based care. We encourage studies that examine care transitions, care coordination, and the continuity of services across settings.
Submissions should clearly describe older adult populations, inclusion criteria, and functional or cognitive measures used. Research that addresses under served populations, rural settings, or low resource contexts is especially important for advancing equitable aging care.
Aging research is inherently interdisciplinary. We welcome work that connects clinical care with behavioral science, rehabilitation, nutrition, pharmacy, social work, health economics, and policy. Studies that translate biological insights into clinical or community interventions are encouraged when they have clear relevance to older adult outcomes.
We also value implementation research that examines how effective interventions can be delivered in real world settings. Reports that highlight barriers, facilitators, and practical lessons from aging care programs help readers apply evidence across different contexts.
- Clear study design, sampling rationale, and eligibility criteria
- Validated tools for cognition, function, or quality of life where applicable
- Transparent statistical reporting, including key assumptions and limitations
- Ethics approval and consent procedures for human participants
- Descriptions of care context, staffing, or service models when relevant
Journal of Journal of Aging Research And Healthcare publishes a broad range of article types:
- Original research papers
- Reviews and literature reviews
- Letters and editorials
- Case reports and case images
- Clinical trials
- Rapid communications
- Commentaries, perspectives, and opinions
- Mini reviews and book reviews
- Conference proceedings
- Short communications
- Thesis based manuscripts
- A clear research question linked to aging outcomes or healthcare delivery
- Methods that are reproducible and transparent
- Appropriate statistical analysis and reporting
- Interpretation grounded in evidence and clinical relevance
- Clear implications for practice, policy, or future research
Authors should describe care settings, participant characteristics, and functional or cognitive assessments where relevant. This helps reviewers and readers interpret findings across diverse aging populations.
- Rigorous peer review by experts in aging research and healthcare
- Open access visibility for clinicians, caregivers, and policy makers
- Professional production support, DOI assignment, and long term archiving
- Emphasis on clinical relevance and practical impact
- Support for transparent reporting and data availability
All manuscripts undergo an initial scope and integrity check, followed by single blind peer review. Editors evaluate relevance, methodological quality, and ethical compliance. Authors may be asked to revise to strengthen clarity or reporting.
When revisions are requested, provide a point by point response to reviewer comments. This helps the editorial team evaluate changes efficiently and supports a clear record of revisions.
Editors may recommend minor or major revisions to improve completeness and presentation.
Journal of Journal of Aging Research And Healthcare follows COPE and ICMJE guidance. All submissions must be original, not under review elsewhere, and include appropriate ethics approval and consent statements.
We require a Data Availability Statement for all manuscripts and encourage use of reporting checklists (EQUATOR Network) when relevant. AI tools may be used for language assistance but must be disclosed in a dedicated statement, and authors remain responsible for all content.
Authorship must reflect substantial contributions and all listed authors must approve the final submission. Conflicts of interest and funding sources should be disclosed to support transparency.
We encourage authors to share data, code, or analytic protocols when feasible. If data sharing is restricted, describe the reason and provide a path for qualified access. Reporting checklists help ensure completeness for clinical trials, observational studies, and systematic reviews.
Articles are published open access to maximize visibility and impact across clinical and community audiences. Article Processing Charges apply after acceptance. See the APC page for details.
Research on aging often informs care planning, caregiver education, and health system design. We encourage authors to highlight practical implications for clinical practice, community programs, or policy decisions. Clear statements of significance help readers apply findings in real world settings and support evidence based improvements in aging care.
When appropriate, include a brief summary of how results may affect service delivery, patient experience, or resource allocation for older adults.
We publish special issues focused on targeted themes in aging and healthcare. If submitting to a special issue, indicate the special issue title in the Cover Letter field during submission. Explore current opportunities on the Ongoing Special Issue page.
